We have now been open since September 1992. In the 18 years the store has seen many changes. Originally the store was located in Tempe and had only 2 employees, Pam and Jesse (who also doubled as the owners)! They were dating when they opened the store and occasionally they were able to convince family friends and relatives to come in and work so that they could get a day off to play tennis or run a tournament… One day, Pam and Jesse hung a sign in the window stating that the store would not be open that day, and they went and got married. The Tempe store became such a hit with the Phoenix tennis community that a new store was started in Scottsdale Az. Today, Jesse and Pam still work full time at their store in Scottsdale AZ. Each has been ranked as high as 4th in the nation and their boy’s James and Nathan are now top ranked players in the Southwest. The store has received numerous awards such as the USTA Southwest president’s award and Tennis Industry Association’s Top 10 Specialty shops in America. In the Scottsdale store you will find a small sample (200+) of Jesse’s extensive antique racquet collection. It is the largest tennis retail store in Arizona and has the most experienced staff. Jesse has over 24 years of racquet stringing experience, and Pam 16 years teaching tennis.
We continue to support local tennis programs such as the P.A.S.S. organization, USTA, and local school teams. If you are ever in town stop in and say hello!
